IMPROVEMENT OF THE CULTIVATION OF THE ALMONDTREE (Prunus dulcis) IN THE BALEARIC ISLANDS: STUDY OF THEPOTENTIAL POLLINATORS AND THEIR ECONOMIC VIABILITY.

The objective of this project is (1) to study the biodiversity of colonizers of nest boxes, in order to identify the potential wild pollinators of the cultivation of the almond tree, (2) to quantify the possible increase in the reproductive success of the almond tree as a result of the introduction of different species of commercial pollinators (Bombus terrestris and Apis mellifera), and (3) to evaluate the pollinator efficiency of the almond pollinators.
